WaveQoE - End
User Quality of Experience Test
WaveQoE - End User
QoE Test - offers network developers, QA engineers, installers and IT
staff the capability to accurately determine how well business
applications will perform in different usage situations, such as
education, retail, corporate office, hospital and carrier networks.
Application performance metrics provide the means for determining whether
the system measures up to desired quality levels. These metrics precisely
quantify the results, define a Service Level Agreement (SLA) in terms of
quality thresholds, and compare actual measured test results to the
desired SLA's.
WaveQoE is designed
for testing of edge network devices such as access routers, gateways,
security-enabled switches, application accelerators and WAN accelerators.
Using WaveQoE, it is
easy to model real-world deployment scenarios and study the end-users'
actual quality-of-experience. Creating "what if" scenarios to
effectively plan for changes or added services, makes this an ideal
solution for network managers, service providers and network equipment
vendors.
WaveVideoTM -
SDTV / HDTV Wireless Video Test
WaveVideo
offers developers, QA engineers, installers and IT staff the capability to
accurately determine how well WLAN network devices are handling video
streaming. The only WLAN test system to allow users to create hundreds of
independent video flows, measure their individual quality and view the
actual effects of the network on real video clips.
WiMAX TestWaveAgentTM
- Network Device Performance Characterization
WaveAgent
- A small footprint software utility loaded onto a networking device. It
provides device-specific measurements of forwarding rate, throughput,
loss, round-trip latency and jitter when enabled by VeriWave's
WaveDynamix and WaveClient applications.
WaveAgent 2.0 OTA
Interoperability Test
WaveAgent 2.0
Interoperability Testing - brings test-grade accuracy and repeatability to
Over The Air (OTA) testing. It enables equipment vendors building WLAN
networks and devices as well as users of WLAN networks to observe the
interaction and impact of specific devices and applications on fully
loaded live networks. With WaveAgent Interoperability Testing, users can
combine real traffic from actual devices with controllable load of
synthetic test traffic to conduct comprehensive "what if" testing in
fully loaded networks and peak conditions.
WaveAgent 2.0
Interoperability Testing addresses the need to isolate issues to the
client application, client driver, or network infrastructure, when poor
performance is observed. Forwarding rate, loss, jitter, voice MOS and
voice R-Value metrics can be obtained by installing WaveAgent 2.0 on third
party client devices. Network Quality of Experience (QoE) as well as
client-specific QoE can be determined and compared, making it easier to
determine root cause. Validating vendor-proprietary capabilities such as
classified authentication or encryption including WAPI, as well as
client-specific features can be determined.
WaveClientTM -
Handset, Wireless Enabled Medical, Industrial & Retail Device Test
Suite
WaveClient
- Allows clients to be tested and optimized for "real-world wireless
environments" & other "what-if" scenarios in a controlled
environment. WaveClient generates an entire deployment specific
environment consisting of WLAN clients such as laptops, phones, scanners
and patient monitors with diverse traffic such as HTTP, SIP calls, unicast
and multicast MPEG-2 video, FTP and bar code transactions. The wireless
enabled device is put to test in each of the desired network conditions
and its behavior is observed . The effects of the DUT on the network are
also measured. WaveClient reports include: Data Forwarding Rate, latency,
jitter, Voice quality (MOS and R-Value), Video quality (MDI score),
roaming (hand-off) delay and quality. Utilizing WaveAgent, the device
behavior and performance is measured from the exact point of view of the
end-user.
IEEE P802.11.2
Standard WLAN Benchmarking Test
The
IEEE P802.11.2 Standard WLAN Benchmarking Test - offers a complete set of
automated tests to characterize and analyze the performance and
scalability of WLAN networks and networks components. Critical metrics,
including Throughput, Forwarding Rate, Loss and Latency are measured and
reported.
Part
of the WaveApps test suite, the IEEE P802.11.2 Standard WLAN Benchmarking
Test offers the complete set of Layer 2 and Layer 3 performance metrics
defined by the IEEE P802.11.2 WLAN benchmarking methodology for Access
Points (APs), WLAN controllers and WLAN switches. The focus of this test
is on providing WLAN performance metrics through automated tests with
scalable client traffic generation to enable the user to quickly baseline
the behavior of WLAN infrastructure network device and expose any
bottlenecks that would cause performance and scalability problems.
VoIP QoS Service
Assurance Test
The VoIP QoS Service
Assurance Test - is designed to validate and ensure maintenance of service
level agreements (SLAs) in high performance Voice-over-WLAN (VoWLAN)
networks. It offers an automated approach to determining a network's
service level capacity, performance, call quality metrics, and service
level assurance offered by infrastructure WLAN equipment in the presence
of multiple VoIP calls and data traffic.
With the increasing
popularity of real-time, delay sensitive, applications such as VoIP,
Quality of Service (QoS) protocols are essential to enable high priority
voice and video traffic to share the medium efficiently with lower
priority data traffic. The VoIP QoS Service Assurance Test Suite
quantifies and qualifies the VoIP Service Level and Service Capacity of a
WLAN network supporting mixed traffic including voice, video and data. It
offers a comprehensive functional test to validate the Service
Differentiation capability of the WLAN, enables verification of adherence
to the IEEE 802.11e standard (as well as WMM), regression testing and
performance-envelope testing/analysis.
These tests are
designed to identify bugs early in development and QA cycles, increase
test coverage, and automate the test environment. The use of this test
suite reduces time-to-market, increases test coverage and optimizes
deployment of triple-play wireless networks.
WLAN Roaming Test
The WLAN Roaming
Test - offers a complete set of automated tests to analyze the ability of
infrastructure-class WLAN networks and network components to handle
hundreds of mobile clients roaming between Access Points (APs). The test
provides precise measurements of roaming delay, call quality during
roaming, and the network's overall capacity to handle mobile clients.
Addressing an urgent
need for repeatable and reliable metrics in the wireless space, the focus
of the WLAN Roaming Test is on providing WLAN mobility performance through
automated tests with scalable client traffic generation, including VoIP
over WLAN. This enables the user to quickly analyze the behavior of WLAN
infrastructure network devices. Support for client initiated roaming as
well as controller initiated roaming is provided, addressing Thin-AP and
Thick-AP architectures. The WLAN Roaming Test is part of the WaveApps test
suite, offering simple setup, comprehensive results reporting and test
automation support, while maintaining the highest degree of flexibility
and customization.
Wireless Mesh
Test Suite
The Wireless Mesh
Test Suite - provides mesh network equipment designers, deployment
engineers, service providers and carriers with an essential test tool
designed to analyze the mesh infrastructure's ability to forward and
route metro-scale client traffic, including voice, video and data, under
different RF conditions. The tests confirm performance to a guaranteed
service level required to support mission-critical applications on a Metro
Area Network (MAN).
Wireless Mesh
Networking is experiencing explosive growth, becoming the primary driver
of metro wide distribution for broadband multimedia services. The Wireless
Mesh Test Suite provides a comprehensive set of tests that determines
traffic re-route efficiency under controlled RF interference conditions,
quantifies client capacity, and characterizes the multi-hop throughput and
latency of a mesh network during development, QA, and prior to deployment.
The test suite is ideal for regression testing and stress testing.
This test is
designed to provide an automated and repeatable test solution for a
variety of topologies. It increases test coverage and identifies bugs
prior to deployment, thus increasing quality and reducing time-to-market.
